Objectives of the Meeting:
1.
Finding common interests among Gulf youth about
the concept of democracy and parliament.
2.
Sharing expertise among youth concerning their
acquisition during working in elections campaign.
3.
Attract the local community’s attention to the
importance of youth and their effective role.
Themes of the Meeting:
They include the crisis of identity among Gulf youth and
the importance of democratic raising in the life of youth
and its obstacles and images of youth’s democratic
practices.
Recommendations:
They may
be summarized as in the seven following items:
1. The continuity of the Meeting periodically
annually on the Gulf Cooperative state level providing it be
held in each state periodically stressing the involvement of
youth of both sexes and of all groups, i.e., students,
special needs persons, etc…
2. The necessity of the participation of all states
of the GCC in the Meeting and the other forthcoming
meetings.
3. The importance of diversity in proposing topics
to cover all youth problems and come out with constructive
recommendations applicable in practical life.
4. Adopting establishing a counseling center for
gulf youth of both sexes annexed to the GCC’s Secretariat
General and that will be responsible for discussing youth
issues and offering the appropriate solutions in preparation
to be reviewed during meetings of GCC state leaders.
5. Activating the role of the school in implanting
the concepts of democracy among youth of both sexes whether
in school curricula or associated activities or
relationships prevalent in the school milieu.
6. Confirming the importance of the media
awareness-raising about the concept of democracy and youth
issues through the establishment of a television satellite
channel concerned with youth in the GCC states.
7. Adopting establishing an electronic website for
the Gulf Youth Meeting under the auspices the GCC
Secretariat-General providing that youth of both sexes be
responsible for running the website, developing it and
providing it with the latest updated information and data
which serve Gulf youth.
