On the 17^th of December 1999, the General Assembly has adopted (in resolution no. 54/120) a recommendation presented by World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth (8-12 August 1998, Lisbon), whereby the 12^th of August was declared as an International Youth Day. This day is annually commemorated worldwide so that the world can realize huge capabilities of youth, celebrate their achievements, and plan for a better involvement for them so that they can develop their institutions. This day also gives a chance to employers to reconsider engaging youth in decision-making at all levels.
