SCFA organized on the two days of March, 10th and 11th, 2008, in collaboration
with Al-Injaz Foundation for Development and Media in the Khor area, two
evenings for women at the Woman Training and Rehabilitation Center in Khor City.
This comes within the efforts exerted by SCFA in order to develop capabilities
and women in the Khor area. The two evenings were supervised by Dr Suad Al-Basheer,
Psychological Consultant at the Social Development Office, affiliated to the
Ministers Council, and Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Cairo University
The first evening, attended by about 50 female participants, and titled: By
Dialog We Get Closer, addressed the theme of effective dialog and its methods
and arts, besides knowing the way of thinking of those whom we conduct a dialog
with in order to reach factors that could function as a key to open their
hearts. The other questions tackled included choosing the right time and place
appropriate for conducting a dialog with people around you, and taking into
consideration the obstacles that could impede dialog, and the causes that lead
to the termination of dialog, to ultimately end up in utter silence, as the only
alternative. Moreover, other aspects were addressed, such as: how to choose
vivid topics for dialog in order to enliven the dialog and end up in
understanding, communication and mutual love
Second evening, titled Girl's Balanced Personality, addressed the theme of
personality and definitions of personality that included its being a holistic
group of behavioral and emotional attributes characterizing the individual and
which are regarded as the crucible of the chemistry of all those attributes
interacting with the environment surrounding the individual and that contribute
to achieving balance and integration within the personality, had that
environment been good and appropriate
Both evenings were attended by a large number of the area's girls and they were
dominated by fruitful discussions on the topics mentioned, and in the end,
related useful printed matters containing experiences and tips were distributed
to attendees
