HE Scfa Secretary-General Receives Resident Representative Of Un's Population Fund For The GCC States

 
 

 

HE SCFA Secretary-General Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Khalifa received in his office on Wednesday morning September 12th 2007 HE Dr Noora Al-Nahidh, Resident Representative of UN's Population Fund for the GCC States. The reception was attended by Ms Noor Al-Maliki, Woman Department Chair at SCFA and Ms Noora Al-Merikhi, Statistic Observatory Department Chair at SCFA

Dr Al-Nahidh's visit aims at viewing SCFA's experience in family care and social issues studies and familiarization with the different activities and programs organized by SCFA to upgrade the family's different segments

At the outset of the reception, HE Secretary-General welcomed Dr Al-Nahidh, confirming that by the instructions of HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, SCFA President, SCFA pays great attention and care to the family's different segments through its programs, goals, policy and administration by means of laying out strategies, conducting studies and organizing the different activities and making recommendations concerning the different laws of the family and its segments

On her part, Dr Al-Nahidh lauded SCFA's role in enhancing and activating the family role, as well as SCFA's care for the family's different segments. Dr Al-Nahidh confirmed the necessity of the existence of a social institution that cares for the family in the Arab countries, indicating the pioneer role of the State of Qatar in this field and its future programs

At the conclusion of the meeting, HE Secretary-General presented Dr Al-Nahidh with a souvenir and a collection of SCFA's publications.
