Delivering before the UN's third committee SCFA's address about Qatari woman's gains and achievement

 
 

 

Miss Noor Al-Mansoori, Special Needs Department Specialist at SCFA and State of Qatar's delegation member to the UN's 62nd Session which opened on Monday October 15th, delivered before the UN's Third Committee an address where she confirmed the Qatari woman's role and her many achievements in the different areas due to the unlimited support of the State of Qatar's wise leadership represented by HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir and the continuous encouragement of HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, HH the Emir's Consort through activating the Qatari woman's involvement on all levels and entitling her to the right of candidacy and voting in elections, together with the flourish of the democratic movement in the country. Miss Al-Mansoori acclaimed the efforts exerted by the State of Qatar to raise the entire sectors and groups in order to empower woman by means of adopting a national plan for woman within the general strategy of the family which aims at working toward improving and developing woman's status quo by empowering her to practice her influential role in the community's welfare and progress in the light of the Qatari Constitution which confirms the equality of man to woman in rights and duties. Furthermore, Miss Al-Mansoori highlighted the care SCFA devotes to woman as an active element in the society, in addition to encouraging her to fulfill the achievements and practice her rights in the society, conduct studies and lay out strategies concerning woman and offer her support in the different spheres. Concluding her address, Miss Al-Mansoori pointed out that a permanent committee for elections was formed to prepare the forthcoming parliamentary elections and which committee that aims at qualifying and activating woman's involvement in the elections, both as a candidate and a voter, confirming the support which woman's involvement contributes to the community
