Al-Khalifa Receives Regional Adviser On Trafficking In Persons Affairs In The Middle East And North Africa

 
 



HE Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, SCFA Secretary-General received in his office on Sunday morning January, 20th, 2008 Dr Nihal Fehmi, Regional Adviser for Trafficking in Persons Affairs in the Middle East and North Africa. The reception was attended by Ms Maryam Al-Maliky, National Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Persons, Qatari House for Lodging and Human Care

HE Secretary-General talked to the guest about SCFA, its programs, goals, policy, committees and departments, and SCFA's prominent role in human rights issues, confirming that by instructions of HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, SCFA President, SCFA communicates with the different Arab and foreign states in order to exchange expertise and participate actively in the different international conferences which are directly related to the family's entire groups. HE added that, likewise, SCFA has organized a number of international conferences, besides launching national initiatives which aimed at promoting the family's entire groups, conducting programs and studies and establishing specialized centers that offer the different cultural, educational and health services to all of the family members

On her part, Dr Nihal Fehmi acclaimed the progress achieved by the State of Qatar in the sphere of family care and the great role SCFA is playing to accomplish that. During the reception, there was a discussion of the ranges of joint collaboration between both parties in the family area

At the conclusion of the visit, HE Secretary-General presented the guest with a souvenir and a media file on SCFA
