Fulfilling the objectives of SCFA's PEC, chaired by HE Sheikha Aisha bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani, and embodied by activating the political involvement of the Qatari society, promoting the culture of democracy, developing leadership skills and creating Qatari staff capable of training in the entire areas, PEC organized, in cooperation with the National Democratic Institute for Foreign Affairs, during the period February 18th-21st, at the Millennium Hotel, a training course titled Training the Trainers which included 45 trainees of both genders who will join the Course that will run for one year, and at the end of which they will be awarded a Diploma in Training Skills. The Course was supervised by Ms Rabab Al-Mudhwahi and Mr. Murad Mudhaffer.

The opening ceremony was attended by HE Dr Khalid bin Jabor Al-Thani, PEC Vice-Chair, Mr. Scott Bates, NDI Adviser for Qatar and Bahrain, Colonel Abdul-Rahman Majjid Al-Suleiti, PEC Member and Ms Ferida Al-Obeidli, PEC Member.
