In a press conference held in SCFA headquarters on Wednesday morning January 23, 2008, attended by Dr Amina Al-Sweidi, Department of Special Needs Persons Consultant, Mr. Ali Al-Sinnari, Special Needs Persons Activist, Mr. Sameer Simreen, Program Expert and a number of hard of hearing specialists, HE Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, SCFA Secretary-General announced the inauguration of the DVD of the Sign Language Dictionary in its two volumes and in three languages, Arabic, English and French. The Dictionary has standardized many a concept in the Arab world, and HE Secretary-General stated that it will be loaded on SCFA’s website so that any hard of hearing person may easily have access to the website and then learn sign language which has become a standardized language in most Arab states

On his part, Mr. Ali Al-Sinnari acclaimed the instructions of HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Missned, SCFA President, which instructions that were embodied in the necessity of promoting the services being rendered to special needs persons

Mr. Sameer Simreen pointed out that the Dictionary has already been a dramatic shift and he added that the DVD came to crown this achievement
