SCFA, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized during the period March 25th-27th, at the Millennium Hotel, a training workshop for mosques preachers on raising awareness of groups working with children about the CRC

The workshop aimed at introducing participants to the contents of CRC, and empowering them to develop the scientfic messages directed to families and households about these rights, and adopt trends supporting them in accordance with CRC's text

In an address delivered on his behalf by Mr Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Faheed Al-Hajiri, SCFA's Administrative and Financial Department Managing Director, HE Mr Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, SCFA Secretary-Genearl confirmed thart the importance of the workshop lay in translating CRC's true abstracts into a concrete reality through training the groups working with childten, each according to their area of specialization

He stated that SCFA, during the past four years, organized similar workshops that targeted a number of groups, like judges, and assistant judges at civil, justice and legislative courts, pediatricians, social worker with juvenile, work inspectors besides social workers in schools, and those workshops came out with important recommendations which SCFA is following up their implentation by the concerned bodies. He added saying that the previous workshops were organized in collaboration with the Higher Commission of Human Rights, and this year, it was oragnized in collaboration with UNICEF, confirming that that fell within SCFA's care to establish cooperative liaisons with UN's international institutions
