A Course Of Advanced Search For Information In The Internet Organized By Supreme Council For Family Affairs For Its Staff

 
 



Out of its belief in the importance of improving the different performance and training skills of its staff, SCFA, during the period November 26th-29th 2007, organized at Millennium Hotel a training course with the participation of some staff from centers affiliated with SCFA. The Course was in advanced search methodology on the internet, and it was conducted by Dr Hisham Azmi, Associate Professor of Information Technology at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Qatar. Over 40 personnel attended the Course

The Course provided attendees with the opportunity to make advanced surfing in the internet and benefit from its facilities by keeping abreast of the development taking place in this area. The Course, moreover, enabled participants to make use of the internet components, how to store and retrieve data from it and how to prepare a strategic research plan. Likewise, the Course introduced attendees to the most recent technological methods used in arranging documents and references and saving files. Furthermore, participants learned how to use the keys of search engines and linking tools, as well as the best ways to store and retrieve information from the internet

At the Course's conclusion, Mr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Faheed Al-Hajiri, Administrative and Financial Department Managing-Director at SCFA confirmed the importance of organizing such courses which enable the individual to keep abreast of the rapid and huge development in the internet area and give him/her the opportunity to update his/her knowledge, and to ultimately improve his/her job performance
