Permanent Elections Committee concludes its second course for training the trainers

 
 

 

The training course Training the Trainers, organized by SCFA's PEC in collaboration with National Democratic Institute for Foreign Affairs in Washington, came to a conclusion on Wednesday morning October 31st. The Course's aim was to prepare a Qatari cadre to support PEC in activating the Qatari community's political involvement and electoral participation. The Course which lasted four consecutive days at the Intercontinental Hotel and was presented by Dr Murad Dhaffir of the National Democratic Institute in Yemen and Ms Rabab Abdul-Quddoos Al-Muwadhhi Programs Officer at National Democratic Institute in Yemen targeted 30 participants of both sexes from the different governmental bodies and institutions. The Course focused on training, teaching and steering capabilities and other features which the trainer should have

On this occasion, Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor Al-Thani, PEC Vice-Chair, confirmed the importance of preparing a national cadre to support PEC in activating the Qatari community's political involvement and electoral participation. Dr Al-Thani also pointed out in the local press that the aim of the Training the Trainers Course was the creating of a capable generation

On her part, Ms Maryam Al-Khatter, PEC Member at SCFA remarked that Training the Trainers Course was among the courses that many were keen on joining due to its extreme importance in the individual's life, as well as its aim at preparing a base of Qatari trainers to join their fellows in the area of training. Likewise, Ms Al-Khatrer pointed out that in this Course emphasis was on training a group of youth of both sexes from the different governmental institutions, and those who would be selected later, would be given dense courses during the year to enable them to run matters efficiently in the future
