The specialized team at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs assigned to lay out the family's overall strategy held on 3rd Oct.2007 an elaborate meeting presided by HE Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Khalifa, SCFA Secretary-General and the supervisor of the major team that is undertaking the strategy. During the meeting, the final draft of the family's overall strategy in the State of Qatar was discussed. The meeting was attended by all chairs of the sub-teams which undertook during the previous period the task of preparing the strategies. Moreover, the meeting discussed the final draft of the group strategies, namely: woman, childhood, youth, the elderly, special needs persons. The meeting also discussed the constituents of the family's overall strategy which include the strategy's general framework containing the strategy's vision, mission, motto, values and goals. Besides, the meeting discussed the executive plan of action which contained sub-goals and the programs listed under each goal and distributed on basis of the groups and bodies that will undertake the executing process, in addition to the indicators of executing all of the programs and the duration that the process of execution will take.

The team embarked upon editing the draft immediately after the end of the meeting in preparation to finalize the strategy's draft shortly, as the HE Secretary-General gave comprehensive instructions, confirming the importance of these strategies in enhancing the future of the family
